DC 315 applied over Spray Polyurethane Foam (SPF), is an Alternative Barrier System to meet the “NBC of Canada 2010 Section 3.1.5.12” as a thermal barrier. To be approved as an Alternative Barrier System, DC 315 is applied over SPF, and is tested to the criteria of CAN/ULC S101 for a minimum duration of 10 minutes by an accredited fire testing facility. Independent test results show DC 315 will delay the involvement of SPF in a fire situation and will successfully protect against flashover, melting and smoke development. DC 315 has received a CAN/ULC S 101 listing for 25 minute duration and is certified and marked by Warnock Hersey Intertek (WHI). As an Alternative Approval product, IFTI insist on consulting the Authority Having Jurisdiction prior to installing DC 315 in accordance with “Division C Section 2.3 of the NBC of Canada”.
