Notes

1 mil = 1 thousandths of an inch 1/1000″

* SEMI POROUS SUBSTRATES – ie. Weathered metal surfaces ( 5-10 years old ), no primer needed (if no rust is present). Apply SUPERTHERM ® at 95 sq. ft./gallon ( 17 mils WFT = 9 mils DFT ) A wet mil gauge is recommended.

* TIGHT SUBSTRATES – ie. New galvanized metal / slick metal surfaces and aluminum – apply RUSTGRIP ® at 300 sq.ft./ gallon as a primer first, then SUPERTHERM ® at 95 sq.ft./ gallon (if there are rusted areas, RUSTGRIP ® coverage will reduce to 200 sq.ft./ gallon as RUSTGRIP ® soaks into the rust to stop it, at it’s source ).

* POROUS SUBSTRATES – ie. Concrete surfaces: If painted before, just make sure all loose or flaking paint is off first, then apply SUPERTHERM ® directly at 95 sq. ft./gallon ( 17 mils WFT = 9 mils DFT ) A wet mil gauge is recommended.

Aluminum Preparation using 409 Citrus Cleaner

If not painted before, seal concrete first using SUPERBASE (HS) ® at 100 sf / gallon or SP INTERLOCK / INNERSEAL ® at a net spread rate of 90-175 sf / gallon applied in three applications or SUNSHIELD ® at 170 sf / gallon ( 9 mils WFT = 4.5 mils DFT ) A wet mil gauge is recommended, then apply SUPERTHERM ® at 190 sq. ft./gallon ( 8 mils WFT = 4.5 mils DFT ). This gives a TOTAL for both coatings of 90 sq. ft./gallon ( 17 mils WFT = 9 mils DFT ) A wet mil gauge is recommended.
